Leslie Raymond

Leslie Raymond is the Ann Arbor Film Festival executive director. Previously, as an educator, she founded a New Media Program at the University of Texas at San Antonio and earned an Innovations in Teaching award at Oakland University as Visiting Assistant Professor of Art teaching digital, video and new media art. Raymond has promoted contemporary expanded cinema practice through special projects that include Digital New School (Ann Arbor Film Festival 2003), A/V Showdown (University of Michigan 2005), and the Live Cinema Summit (Columbia College 2010). She is also an expanded cinema artist working primarily in live cinema performance. For over a decade, Raymond has collaborated with partner Jason Jay Stevens as Potter-Belmar Labs. Their live cinema performances and installation artworks have appeared at such establishments as the Aurora Picture Show (Houston TX), San Antonio Museum of Art (TX), Other Cinema (San Francisco CA), Squeaky Wheel (Buffalo NY) and Antimatter Festival (Victoria, BC Canada).
