Erin Johnson

Erin Johnson is a feminist, transdisciplinary artist and curator who creates video and sound pieces, performances, and social practice works.

Johnson's work has been exhibited at museums and galleries such as Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, Vox Populi, HERE Arts Center, New Mexico State University, Pelican Bomb, Southern Exposure, Root Division, 1708 Gallery, Cornell University, ZERO1 Biennial, and the Asheville Art Museum. Johnson has been a visiting fellow or artist-in-residence at institutions such as the The School of Information at University of Texas at Austin, the Arts Research Center at University of California, Berkeley, Berkeley Center for New Media, Elsewhere Collaborative Residency, and Kala Art Institute. She has a forthcoming solo show at Duke University and two-person exhibitions at the Rubin Center (University of Texas, El Paso) and the Telfair Museums (Savannah, GA). 

She holds a MFA and Certificate in New Media from U.C. Berkeley and is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Art at Bowdoin College.
