Emma Volz is a filmmaker from Mesa, Arizona whose artistic practice has evolved alongside her discovery of self within a larger community of family, both living and deceased. As a filmmaker, granddaughter, daughter, and mother, Emma creates images and tells stories that attest to family relationships’ potential for transcendence. She seeks to reverently celebrate the quiet and holy presence of the mundane and the compounded wisdom of ordinary living.
