The act of channeling personal experiences to reconnect with nature is a point of interest for Bren Vienrich-Felling’s work, in particular, the act of mining past experiences as a means of re-claiming memories and introducing new perspectives. Focusing on themes related to identity, ecological observations and the mundane, her practice uses moving image, photography and materiality to come to new understandings about how we experience life through our exterior surroundings.

Set on a cattle ranch in the Amazon of Perú, Full Moon Over Palcazú is a cinematic exploration of belonging, family and the profound connections between humans and the natural world through the lens of a mother’s experiences on a remote farm.
