Works by Zeni Alia (on display through March 2025)

Works by Albanian Photographer Zeni Alia - including a photography series, "Waiting for a Train," and an installation, "Good Luck!" - are on display at Duke's Center for Documentary Studies through March 31, 2025.

The exhibit was curated by students while they were taking Duke's "Photo Fever: Curating Photography Exhibitions" course in Fall 2025.

"Waiting for a Train" captures Albania's gradual shift away from its reliance on the country's oldest and only remaining train. "Good Luck!" contends with the legacy of political and economic isolation in Albania and the current trends in migration

The Center for Documentary Studies is open 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, except on holidays.
