The Text + Pix Collective (est. Fall 2024) is a group of Duke faculty, Duke students and Triangle community members who share an artistic interest in the relationship between the visual image and the written word. Members include professors, graduate students, undergraduates, local writers and photographers, artists, curators, editors and designers. The Collective meets monthly during the semester to hear short presentations on new creative projects and research in progress.
The first Spring 2026 installment has Alexa Dilwoth and Mesah Maren-Hogan as presenters. Members are invited to discuss the presentations, and to propose future lines of enquiry for the Collective.
All gathering are Mondays, 6-8 pm in the CDS Library on W. Pettigrew Street, Durham, NC.
